1 large Italian bread loaf
1 pound thinly sliced ribeye or sirloin
1 green bell pepper sliced
1 medium yellow onion sliced
2 tablespoons olive oil divided
1 tablespoon butter melted plus extra for brushing
2 cloves garlic minced
8 slices provolone cheese
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and prepare baking sheet.

  2. Slice and hollow bread loaf.

  3. Sauté onions and peppers in oil and butter.

  4. Cook beef until just done and season.

  5. Combine beef and vegetables.
